DIY | Alcoholic Ice Pops

Unless you have been hiding under a rock you have probably seen alcoholic ice pops are everywhere this year. Fortnum and Mason, Pops, Tesco have cocktail lollies and even Aldi have brought out their own range!

I recently had an allergy test done where I was told I was intolerant to refined sugar, so, unfortunately, i won’t be able to try any of these brands this summer. I was feeling a little but gutted until I was doing my shopping and spotted these fab ice lolly moulds in Sainsbury’s for £5 and decided to make my own.

There is a small amount of sugar in wine unfortunately but the drier the wine the less there is and I added some soda water to make a spritzer so there will be a minimal amount of sugar in these.

I am going to try some cocktails too using fresh fruit purees to sweeten. These rose and soda water spritzers were lovely and refreshing! You can, of course, try any alcoholic combination you like it doesn’t have to be sugar free.
